Members donned their pyjamas, carried their teddies and hot water bottles, all to celebrate the handing over approximately 90 sets of new children’s pyjamas, many pairs of slippers, and loads of children’s books to Lesley Labka from Supported Accommodation and Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra (SAHSSI).
CWA Jervis Bay members purchased the pyjamas and slippers and donated the books as a more practical and useful Easter gift to support the wonderful work done by SAHSSI in the local area.
Group members chose SAHSSI to support due to the outstanding and necessary work they do for women and children in our community.
A sumptuous lunch with wonderful deserts was enjoyed by all to finish of the celebrations.
Lesley of SAHSSI said she enjoyed the visit.
She said the contributions were always appreciated, company always fun and the food was delicious.
