The risky ploy of sending Bomaderry to the crease first by Basin’s skipper Michael Perry paid dividends early, when both Josh and Michael Coulter were dismissed for 14 and 13 respectively.
But that’s when Basin’s advantage ended, as Nick McDonald and Blake Munilla combined for a 156-run third wicket partnership.
McDonald (49) eventually fell with the score on 185, with centurion Blake Munilla (108) being dismissed two runs later.
But behind solid knocks from Zac Blattner (73), Justin Ganderton (40) and Travis Roth (33), the Tigers cruised past 300, to finish their 95 allocated overs at an incredible 9/389.
Luke Gogerly (3/78) and Liam O’Brien (2/80) did what they could in a tough innings for Basin with the ball.
In reply, both openers, Tom Mason (12) and O’Brien (seven), were dismissed early, leaving the visitors at Bomaderry Oval at 2/33.
Kyle Jarrett and Nathan Tyrrell then dug their heels in, guiding the total past 50 before the former was out for 27.
Tyrrell and Perry then put on a 69-run stand before the former was dismissed by Michael Coulter for 61.
Perry fell three runs later for 20, which signalled the end for Basin – who despite 44 from Thomas Dolby and 32 from Gogerly, were all out for 239 in the 49th over.
Michael Coulter starred the ball (3/107) while John Muggleton and Jarryd Sue both claimed 2/29.
