The Shoalhaven Women’s Wellness Festival was a hit on Thursday, bringing women’s health to the forefront of the agenda, and showing there is a massive support network available for local women.

Hundreds of local women poured into the Nowra Showground Pavilion for the event.
It presented a great chance for local organisations to promote their services, to raise awareness about health issues affecting women, and for community groups to find new members.
Nikki Collins from Flourish said she was handing out more showbags than she could make.
“There are a lot of women and inspirational people here today,” she said.
John Casey from ACON was there for LGBTI people.
“Unfortunately we see LGBTI people over-represented in poorer health outcomes,” Mr Casey said.
“We’re here to show there is support, and to urge them to stay connected.”
Art therapist Karina Lindsay ran a popular free workshop for attendees.
“We are painting kindness flags to represent our strengths as women,” she said.
