A SYDNEY man found guilty by a jury of having sexual intercourse with a person under 10 and indecent assault has been jailed for five years.

The 35-year-old man had pleaded not guilty to the charges of sexual intercourse with a person under 10 and two counts of indecent assault where a victim was under 10.
The offences allegedly happened in the Shoalhaven in the early 2000s.
A jury found the man guilty in Nowra District Court with Judge Dina Yehia sentencing him to aggregate sentence of five years, with a non-parole period of three years in Central District Court in Sydney.
The man will be eligible for parole on February 1, 2020.
