THE action was at Ison Park, South Nowra, on Saturday for the Shoalhaven Mariners local Seahawks against Stingrays Zooka pitch game with a great mix of ages taking part on a scorching day.

The Seahawks got away with bats swinging to a close lead in the first innings.
The game became tight and exciting with each team cheering each other on in the field and while batting.
Mackenzie Mannix and Liam Edwards pitched well for the Stingrays and worked well with catchers Cooper Stibbard and Riley James Mason.
Seahawks Mason O’Rourke and Arabici Talty pitched well, backed by catcher Mitchell Parrott who caught the full game.
There were great performances from all pitchers and catchers in extreme heat conditions on the day.
Stand-out performances from the Stingrays went to Liam Edwards who made a great play from short stop to first base and Cameron Goulden who took three outstanding catches at 3rd base and batted well contributing to him gaining Stingrays player of the match.
Outstanding performances for the Seahawks went to Hayden Symmans making a great play from 2nd base to first getting a big out; Mason O’Rourke had an awesome home run and Nate Kennedy had two stand-out plays from short stop to first base and a fantastic hit which pulled him the Seahawks player of the match award.
So next weekend will be our last game for local league and T-ball.
There will be No Friday T-ball but the last game will be held on Saturday, March 3, starting at 8.30am at Ison Park, South Nowra.
Our Junior Grand Final game will follow T-ball with our 2017-18 Presentation taking place at the conclusion of all games.
With our Grand Final and Presentation day on Saturday, March 3, we invite all our members, players, parents, families, coaches, supports and sponsors to come along and enjoy the day.
Show some support and watch the action of our T-ballers and Juniors starting from 8.30am.
Shoalhaven Mariners Baseball are now taking registrations for the upcoming 2018 senior season which starts on March 24.
We are in need of any players male or female past present and newcomers of any ability over the age of 15 years who would be interested in playing a great team sport with a great local club.
You would all be most welcome.
We have our next registration/training sessions on Wednesday, February 28, at Ison Park, South Nowra, from 5pm and Saturday, March 3, at Ison Park, South Nowra, from 12.30pm.
