Benjamin Boyle, 37, faced charges of possessing an unauthorised pistol, possessing a prohibited drug and driving with an illicit drug in his system.
Court papers said Boyle was stopped by police driving on Sussex Inlet Road at Sussex Inlet around 5.50pm on July 25 last year.
Police allegedly found a quantity of methylamphetamine or ice in the car and a test revealed he also had the drug in his system.
Officers allegedly found an orange and black coloured air gun, complete with a laser sight, covered in light and dark green coloured camouflage style gripping tape, which Boyle was not authorised to have.
Boyle did not enter any pleas to the charges before registrar Nicole Brooks, with the matters to be back in court on January 22.
