The event will be held November 25 at Bomaderry Uniting Church Hall from 10.30am to 1pm.
Both dogs and cats are required by law to be microchipped by the time they are 12 weeks old.
The Shoalhaven RSPCA will also be there on the day offering free microchipping for all dogs and cats.
The Shoalhaven Animal Welfare League also works to help reduce the high number of animals in shelters by encouraging pet owners to have their animals desexed.
For those on lower incomes with a pension or health care card they are assisting with the cost to desex by offering vouchers for reduced desexing fees through participating vets of $100 per dog and $50 per cat.
Please bring the animal along to be chipped or scanned to confirm its microchip status. Dogs must be on leads and all cats in cages.
