THE Fijian side for the Rugby League World Cup has a strong Group 7 and Gerringong flavour to it.

Gerringong’s Ashton Sims (Warrington Wolves) and his younger brother Korbin (Brisbane Broncos) have both been named in the squad.

Inspirational Port Kembla hooker James Storer has also earnt a spot in the 24-man squad.

The Sims siblings will give Fiji lots of strength and power to use in the forwards.

Storer was one of the leading players in Group 7 this season and his dashing runs from dummy half were a feature of his efforts.

Fiji, led by superstar Jarryd Hayne, has the players capable of doing some damage.

Kane Evans (Sydney Roosters), Apisai Koroisau (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles),  Kevin Naiqama (captain Wests Tigers) and Akuila Uate (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles) bring a fair amount of NRL experience into the squad.

Fiji plays its first game on October 28 at Townsville Stadium against the USA.
