An RFS tweet at 4.55pm said conditions were easing.
The fire was the subject of an emergency warning earlier in the day when it was fanned by southerly winds towards Jervis Bay Village, cutting off Jervis Bay and Wreck Bay roads.
Numerous brigades and water bombing assets were deployed to contain the blaze, which started at around 5am near Wreck Bay.
