Roads and Maritime Services will temporarily close Queen Street at the intersection with Kangaroo Valley Road to finish building the new roundabout at Kangaroo Valley Road and Queen Street.
Work to build the new roundabout will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from this Friday, September 15 and is expected to be completed in four weeks, weather permitting.
During the work, a detour will be in place via the new local road connection between Queen and Victoria streets for motorists accessing Kangaroo Valley Road to and from Berry.
Traffic control will be in place at the intersection of George and Victoria streets during school zone hours from 8am to 9.30am and from 2.30pm to 4pm.
To reduce the impact to holiday traffic, no work will be carried out during the October long weekend and Queen Street will be re-opened with temporary traffic arrangements in place to help assist with the holiday traffic volumes.
After the long weekend, the detour will be put back in place to safely complete the roundabout.
Motorists are advised to keep to the reduced speed limit and follow the directions of traffic control and road signs.
