Shoppers were merely in danger of having too much fun.
Many remarked they had never seen anything like it.
Kids were drawn to the dinosaur, patting it, and adults posed for their picture with the puppet, to later share the moment on social media.
“I’ll be sending this to my 21 grandchildren,” Nowra local Doreen Brisbane said, shortly after her husband took a photo of her inside of the dinosaur’s mouth.
Despite the sheer enormity of the creature, it managed to frighten a couple of shoppers that it sneaked up on from behind.
The dinosaur was in town to promote an educational show, playing at Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
School groups and parents with young kids have been entertained by giant puppetry, stilt-walkers, inflatable environments and flying creatures at Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium.
A number of kids are selected to meet the creatures during the interactive show, that has been on tour.
Seats are still available for Wednesday shows at 10am and 12.30pm.
