Allen Oakes, 25, faces two two charges of reckless driving, residing in the state for three months and not obtaining a NSW driver’s licence, using an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, displaying unauthorised number plates and two counts of unlawfully possessing numbers plates.
The charges stem from two alleged incidents in Quiberon Street and Stuart Street, Nowra on July 20 last year and March 31 this year.
The court heard in the July 20, 2016 incident Oakes was allegedly seen driving recklessly in Quiberon Street at 9.30am. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He did plead guilty to not having changed over his licence to a NSW one.
The March 31, 2017 offence allegedly happened at 6pm, with Oakes driving a Holden Commodore bearing Queensland plates along Stuart Street, where police estimate he was travelling between 80km/h and 90km/h in a 50km/h zone.
He pleaded guilty to the charge of driving recklessly and that of driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
He pleaded guilty to displaying unauthorised number plates on the vehicle and having ACT and NSW number plates in the car.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming adjourned the matter to October 31 for sentence.
