A 48-year-old woman who led police on a chase through the Nowra CBD on Saturday allegedly returned a breath reading more than four times the legal limit.

Police will alleged the Nowra woman returned a breath reading of 0.216.
Police allegedly tried to stop a Holden sedan on North Street, Nowra about 12.47pm. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began.
The chase came to a halt a short distance away in Hyam Street.
Officers subjected the driver to a random breath test which returned a positive result.
She was taken to Nowra police station where she returned a breath analysis of 0.216.
The woman’s licence was suspended on the spot and she was charged with numerous traffic offences including high range drink driving, police pursuit, driving in a manner dangerous, not keeping left of a dividing lane and not stopping at a stop sign.
She has been bailed to appear in Nowra Local Court on June 26.
