The study found parking levels were currently adequate in accordance with recognised standards, however, noted the pressure placed on parking in popular coastal locations like Huskisson in times of higher tourist seasonal demand.
In the short term a range of pedestrian safety and traffic improvements are nominated to meet the town’s current needs.
Council has submitted grant funding applications for pedestrian improvements in accordance with the recommended strategy.
Further consultation with the community will be undertaken once designs have been prepared.
