Roads and Maritime Services has installed the new speed warning signs on local roads that are regularly used by motorcycle riders and in many cases have featured in fatal accidents.
Locally Moss Vale Road between Fitzroy Falls and Cambewarra is one location that has had new signs installed.
The $200,000 project is designed to improve road safety by advising motorists and motorcyclists of speed and wet weather hazards.
As well as Moss Vale Road, new signs have been installed on Macquarie Pass, Jamberoo Mountain Road and Jamberoo Road.
Speeding and wet weather were found to be involved in the majority of all crashes, prompting the decision to provide early warning signs for road users.
