A Southern Region police officer has been charged with mid-range drink-driving while on duty in an unmarked police vehicle.

The alleged incident occurred on Thursday, March 10.
The male senior constable, who is attached to a local area command within the Southern Region, was spoken to by a senior officer when he returned to his station just after 3.30pm.
As a result of the conversation, the senior constable was subjected to a breath-test which returned a positive reading.
A subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.138.
The officer was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA and is due to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday, April 4.
