The much-loved volunteer has been running the school’s Breakfast Club every day for the last 13 years and is hanging up the apron to care for her husband John.
Violet said she’s enjoyed her time helping out at the school.
“I didn’t even have any naughty children- although I did have one this morning,” she laughed.
While she’s officially clocked off, it won’t be the last time Violet makes an appearance at Nowra East Public.
“I’ll be back to visit and help on the first day of Breakfast Club next year,” she said.
The Breakfast Club will continue under the leadership of a yet to be confirmed replacement- big shoes to fill.
