A special assembly was held to thank Violet who has worked tirelessly with the children at Nowra East Public School and has been a a foster care parent over the past 40 years.
Violet has been arriving at Nowra East Public every morning for the last 12 years, serving breakfast to more than 100 children every day as part of the school’s Breakfast Club Program.
NSW Grandparents Day was held on Sunday, October 25 and celebrates the vital role that grandparents play in our society, as custodians of individual and cultural memories and as providers of care and love to their children and grandchildren.
Grandparents Day provides the opportunity to recognise the unique role that grandparents play in our homes and communities, with many going above and beyond the traditional grandparent role.
