The funding will ensure that the Shoalhaven community is better equipped to tackle litter and illegal dumping affecting some of the more remote and environmentally sensitive areas of our local community.
Shoalhaven City Council works with Southern Councils Group, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Crown Lands and Forests Corporation to target shared illegal dumping hotspots.
The project will clean-up dumped waste at hotspots and install fencing, bollards and signage.
Surveillance, investigation and enforcement will be used at hotspots to penalise identified dumpers and deter others.
