A strong breeze blew across the field early on and Moruya’s defence frustrated Cooma and forced uncharacteristic mistakes.
Moruya kept the favourite score less for much of the first half until the home side scored two late tries and led 10-nil at half-time.
Moruya began the second half well with a slick back line movement setting up Jo Piggott, who scored.
Moruya was unable to score any further points as the Fillies mounted multiple attacking raids.
The home side eventually won 28-4 and booked a game against the Bombala High-Heelers next Saturday in Eden.
Despite the Sharkettes season finishing, co-coach Amber Weyman said she was happy with the level of dedication and commitment from the team throughout the season.
She named Adele Saines, Hannah Cadogan and Georgie Hirst as standouts, in what was a good team performance in the final.
Weyman also praised Hirst, Maisie Place and Verenaisi Ratugolea for backing up after playing in the junior competition at Bega earlier in the day.
