The win meant the Eagles ended their season with back-to-back wins after their upset victory over Gerringong in round 19.
Eagles’ youngster Blake Jones grabbed two tries, while Sean Jenkins, Kyle Zimmerman, Derek Gray, Matt Carroll and Josh Sainsbury all crossed as well.
Carroll added five conversions to his tally.
For Berry Pat Watson, Jackson Bramley, Jack McPherson and Clinton Braddick all scored, while Josh coulter added two conversions.
It’s a somewhat disappointing end to the season for both sides, as they both showed throughout the season they are capable of playing quality football.
Before a recent horror run of injuries, the Magpies looked as if they were storming towards a spot in the top five, but will instead finish seventh.
While their position on the ladder might come as disappointment, the Magpies have unearthed a number of promising youngsters who should feature for years to come in the top grade.
Albion Park’s eighth spot on the ladder marks the second straight year they’ve finished outside the top five, but they have had some joy on the field, having knocked off both sides from last year’s grand final, Gerringong and Warilla,
The Eagles have also bought through a number of promising youngsters into their first grade side this year and will be hoping they can fill the boots of some of the big names they’re losing to retirement this year.
