Two people have died in a crash on the state’s south coast.

Emergency services were called to Culburra Road at Culburra Beach about 2.20pm (Saturday 16 August 2014), following a two-vehicle collision.

The two drivers died at the scene. Both men haven’t been identified and their ages aren’t known.

A woman is being airlifted to hospital with serious injuries while two children, who were in the same car, are being taken to a local hospital. Their conditions aren’t known.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command have established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Culburra Road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours so motorists are urged to avoid the area.
