Event organiser Mark Emerton said he was already looking ahead to next year’s sleep out.
“It was a great event and I want to make it bigger and better next year,” he said.
“There was a really good atmosphere and community vibe on Saturday night.”
He said the participants were lucky with milder weather than the region had experienced earlier in the week.
“We may look at moving the date next year, a lot of people said they would have taken part but it was too cold. Maybe we need to move it to a warmer time.
“But that also somewhat takes away from what we are trying to achieve of experiencing what a homeless person goes through.
“It was good to be able to showcase the issues to the council, the mayor, councillors and business people.”
