The local team beat Telstra Business Centres from 34 other areas including the Illawarra, Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle.
The Nowra team has turned the business around in the past two years and in the previous quarter exceeded benchmarks to become the state’s best centre.
Business manager Nicole Francis said she, the staff and their customers were excited about the win.
She said offering businesses personal service and attentive follow-up was the key to the group’s success.
“I’m lucky because my team is very good,” Ms Francis said.
“Time is money for everyone and with a lot of owner-operators people can’t afford the time to shut their shop and come to us.
“We have a team of people who can go out to South Coast businesses and solve their telecommunications problems between here and Batemans Bay.”
She said changing the focus from phones to helping local businesses with software such as Office 365 and the cloud was replacing the need for businesses to employ an IT person.
And it’s not all just about business. Ms Francis said her team has also focused on being more active in the community, supporting local events and organisations.
