Jamie will head to Bogota, Colombia in the first two weeks of September to compete against riders from 31 different countries.
Jamie was selected by Equestrian Australia based on her impressive riding resume built up over 14 years.
Looking at her riding resume, it was astounding just how much Jamie has done in her short time.
A champion rider from a young age
Twelve months – competed in her first rider class at Berry and Nowra shows. Dad Kel was leading the pony and mum Kareena holding Jamie on.
Twenty-two months - Received a Shetland pony, Lily, for Christmas from grandparents Warren and Jenny Priestley of Worrigee.
Five years old- acquired a 12 hand Australian pony, Sam, and she started at the Shoalhaven Pony Club. Won numerous champions at Pony Club and agricultural shows and in her first year of Pony Club was awarded a trophy larger than herself for the best performed rider of the year in flat classes.
Six years old - Jamie started competing at Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Eight years old - Jamie rode Langtree Botique to EFA small pony of the year, qualifying her to compete at the 2006 National Show Riding and Horse Championships in Werribee, Victoria. She was tied for first on points given by the three judges, and on a count back, finished third.
Nine years old - awarded at Canberra Royal Show Champion Ridden riding pony ridden by a child. Jamie then went on to win Champion Riding Pony at the Hygain Masters Pacific Coast Championships, won at Sydney Royal the next three years that they attended, Champion Young Equestrian Pony Of The Year, and many Champion and Supreme awards at agricultural shows across the state.
She had another pony called Saltram Centrefold that carried her to countless rider class champions and supremes, qualifying herself for four straight Grand National rider classes under 12 years old.
Twelve years old - following in her parent’s footsteps, Jamie thought she might like to try show jumping. Jamie competed in her first FEI show jumping competition in Camden NSW, finishing sixth overall. She also won two other classes and had a few minor placings.
Thirteen years old - competed at the Gunnedah Show Jumping Festival, winning an open 1.15m class with over 110 riders. She also won two other classes, making her the only rider at the show to win three events.
Jamie was selected in the 17 years and under State pony club Show Jumping NSW team to compete in Victoria at The Pony Club Nationals, where they won the team gold medal.
She competed at the Australian Show Jumping Titles in Dubbo where she had four top five placings.
Fourteen years old - represented Australia at the Federal Equestrian International Jumping Event in Columbia.
She placed second in the junior jump and won the open competition, the Jack McGee Memorial Championships for C and D grade horses at the Berry show.
Jamie competed at the Sydney Show Jumping Club Championships last December and won two classes and was he overall champion junior show jumper.
She attended the Snowy Mountains Jumping Festival in Cooma, winning three out of four junior events and was placed third and fourth in the other class.
She placed first and second in the junior championship and fifth in the open C grade competition at Kiama show.
