The employees must be employed full-time, 30 hours or more and have been receiving an income support payment for at least six months.
The Restart program will pay employers $3000 after six months of employment, $3000 after a year, $2000 after 18 months and a further $2000 at two years.
Employers who hire mature age job seekers on a part-time basis, between 15 and 29 hours per week, will be eligible for a pro-rata subsidy. Restart subsidies will be delivered through Job Services Australia providers.
