In the 6pm timeslot a nice clean game was played between basketball stalwarts Triple O’s and Friendly Grocers.
Though experienced, the Grocers tired, and with no substitutes on the bench, a fresh Triple O side started to dominate.
By half-time Triple O’s had established a clear lead and by the full-time buzzer the score had blew out to 81-32.
Despite the flogging, both teams showed plenty of skill and sportsmanship.
Top point scorer for the game was Triple O’s Jaymee Bryce with 13 points.
On the other court a close battle was raging between Kennedy’s Tours and Shoalhaven Floor Sanding.
Kennedy’s Tours’ Kate Denyer made all the difference in the match to be the top point scorer with 26.
This included three three-pointers, and in one of the quarters, scored 12 of the 18 points scored from both teams combined.
In the end Kennedy's Tours took the win 44-26.
In the only 7pm game a close match was played between Bomaderry Vets and Jessie’s Girls.
Traditionally this match-up is a close one and both teams looked forward to a competitive game.
Their promise was delivered and although Bomaderry Vets had one player on the courts recovering from a broken nose, the team was fluent in their delivery.
Jessie’s Girls tried hard and there were some brilliant moments of teamwork, but they were beaten 57-30 by a more experienced opponent.
Top point scorer for the match was Bomaderry Vet’s Brooke Robinson with 14.
