Planning for the 2015 calendar is well under way with photo shoots taking place in many locations throughout the area.
Local FMX rider Luke McNeill will make his second appearance in the calendar. “Just like all of our athletes, Luke is truly a generous and community minded person, taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to attend our photo shoots,” calendar organiser Cathy Russell said.
Russell said it will be hard to choose the best photo from McNeill’s shoot.
“The quality of the photography in the calendar is again absolutely amazing, thanks to the talents of Matthew Child Photography and Michael Harris Photography,” she said.
“Both of these local photographers provide all of their photos free of charge in aid of our charities.”
The calendar will be launched on Friday, October 17 at the Bomaderry Bowling Club.
Tickets will be available in the next few weeks.
This year the calendar will again be fundraising for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
There is an online fundraising page which can be easily accessed for anyone who wishes to support one of the athletes appearing this year.
The address is http://specialoccasion.gofundraise.com.au/page/cathyrussell
This year, a proportion of the fundraising effort will be donated to spinal injuries research after the devastating accident to Jordy Pearson, one of the 2015 calendar men.
Pearson’s story will feature in the presentation on calendar night.
You can support him by attending the launch night or a café afternoon at Angels Bayside Café in Huskisson on Sunday, September 14.
Entry to the café is free and funds will be raised from proprietor Michael’s donation from meal sales, raffles and auctions.
