The discussion, titled From Reflections to Actions, will look at what our community organisations are available in the Shoalhaven, what is working and what services are going to be affected.
It is being held at the Bomaderry Bowling Club.
Shoalhaven Community College community engagement manager Linda Marquis said the results of the federal budget cuts are likely to have serious implication for many aspects of life in the Shoalhaven.
“The impact will be felt by our youth, unemployed, homeless, Indigenous and seniors which means there will be great pressure felt by our employment, education and health sectors. “Consideration also needs to be given to the flow on effect of these cuts to the retail and service sectors.
“The aim of the discussion is to start a conversation to look within our organisations and groups at ways we can help ourselves.
“To look at why we are here and to realise there is no cavalry coming over the hill to fund our projects.”
Not-for profit groups, job service agencies, government departments and all interested associations and groups are encouraged to attend.
