Dean Myers and Sue Martyn defeated Neil Jeffrey and Jenny Bainbrigge after both teams finished with the same score of 185 over two days.
The nett winners in the championships were Gary and Lorraine Morrison with 145 from Ron Martyn and Lois Brown with 147.
The daily nett result was also very close with Ron and Lois with 69 ½ nudging out the Morrisons who finished with a net 70.
The nearest the pins were won by John and Sandra Keighley and Dean Myers and Sue Martyn. Congratulations to all the winners.
The ladies on Tuesday played their June medal which had been postponed twice because of the weather.
Ronda Hazelton won first division with 76 nett from Linda Drazenovic with 81.
Second division was won by Daphne Bailey with 75 nett from Mavis Hopkins with 76 and Maureen Hood had the score of the day to win third division with 72 nett from Wendy Hartman with 76.
The scratch scores were won by Ronda with 101, Sue Josephsen with 108 and Maureen Hood with 115.
The nearest the pins were won by Marie Lindsay, Daphne Bailey and Carol Holmes respectively.
Mavis Hopkins putted well to win the putting trophy with 28 putts and the long drives were won by Carole Evans, Dale Holland and Prue Karp.
Next Tuesday will be the WGI Medal for July.
The men on Wednesday played their usual Stableford and the winner was Jim O’Brien with a good 40 points from Gary Morrison with 37.
The vets on Thursday played day two of their championships and the winner was Gary Morrison with 169 from Neil Jeffrey with 172.
The nett champions are Ray Boulter and Bob Cardwell both with 149 – Ray winning on a countback.
The daily winner was Tom Karp on a countback from Ray Boulter both with 72 nett.
Tomorrow will be a nine-hole Stableford from 12.30pm.
Saturday saw a single Stableford and the ever reliable Wally Drazenovic won on a countback from Kieran McKnight both with a great 42 points.
The highlight of the day was a hole-in-one on the 11th by Brett Jones. Next week will be a two-man ambrose.
