Good work by Shoalhaven police, who spotted a 36-year-old Sydney man acting suspiciously in the early hours of Thursday morning in Bomaderry , has led to the arrest for possessing suspected stolen property.

About 4.40am police saw a man enter the front yard of a house in Birriley Street, Bomaderry and later found him lying face down on the grass on the front lawn of the house.
Police spoke with the man and allege that while searching a backpack and bum bag the male was wearing, they located two GPS units, jewellery, keys, a padlock and cash, which was believed to have been stolen from cars in the area.
It was also alleged that the man was in possession of a small quantity of what is believed to be cannabis leaf.
The 36-year-old Lethbridge Park man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with goods in custody and possess prohibited drug.
He was also charged with stalk or intimidate intending to cause fear relating to an incident that is alleged to have occurred on March 23 at Lethbridge Park.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear before Nowra Local Court on August 11.
Shoalhaven police appeal for information from the public regarding possible thefts from cars in the area between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
