They came from Vincentia, Callala, Kiama, Jamberoo, The Grange, Murrumbidgee, Port Kembla and Bermagui.
Our sponsors, Aveo and Jervis Bay Hearing Centre, were very generous.
Their great support made the day worthwhile even for those whose golf was rather ordinary, and they were in the majority.
Helen Davison had 39 points to win 2014’s Country Club Cup in fine style.
Congratulations Helen, that will impress the Canberra connections. Margaret King was unlucky to be defeated on the countback but that score won division three for her by seven points from Rosemary Sheath of Jamberoo.
Dell Buckley won division two with 33 points from Robyn Campbell on 32. Deb Weeks won the gross event and Sandi Gonzalez won division one with a very respectable 36 points.
Pocket rocket Michelle Medelis celebrated her birthday outing on the old home course, to be runner-up with 33 points.
The long drivers were Liz Cullen, Robyn Campbell and Rhonda Whiddon and the accurate shots were played by Jenelle Anderson, Lynn Dunn and Jeannette Whitehead.
Jeannette was also lucky enough to take the Jervis Bay Hearing Centre door prize home.
Debbie Reynolds, our dual membership star, was too good a hostess on this occasion as her contingent of guests did not appear on stage until the raffle draws. Pause for thought.
Thanks to everyone who participated and bring more friends with you next time.
We’ll keep you posted.
