A WOMAN was flown to a Sydney hospital following a crash between a Toyota ute and a semi-trailer at Bamarang on Monday night.

A west-bound white Toyota Hilux collided with an east-bound semi-trailer just after 6pm about 3.5 kilometres west of the intersection of Yalwal and Albatross roads.
The 42-year-old woman, a passenger in the Hilux, suffered serious head injuries and internal bleeding. She was trapped in the vehicle until she was freed by ambulance paramedics.
She was taken by NSW Ambulance helicopter to St George Hospital.
According to police the truck driver from Hitchcock’s Haulage was not injured. The male driver of the Toyota was injured.
A dog also suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The road was closed for more than an hour while police conducted investigations.
