Have your say on fish rules

IT is still not too late to comment on policies and guidelines aimed at maintaining and enhancing native fish habitat in NSW.

The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has staged a 12-month public consultation period for the updated document, Policy and guidelines for fish habitat conservation and management (2013).

The DPI has consulted other state agencies and the Nature Conservation Council of NSW during the development of the document, which aims to help people understand the legislation, policies and guidelines as they relate to fish habitat protection.

Submissions close June 30 and can be made at www.fisheries.nsw.gov.au.
