In It to Win It belted Spicks and Specks to remain in second place, but the last term competition winners had to pull out all records in which they did to beat off Thunderbirds who would have beaten any other team on the night where both teams are coming third and fourth.
Results of round 27 were:
Powerpins defeated The Screaming Banshees 13-7
For Powerpins, Adam Royston had games of 149, 121, 129 for a 399 series, Glenn Cleary had games of 123, 143, 131 for 397, Matthew Tranter had games of 128, 89, 114 for 331, while Grant Wellard’s absent score picked up three points for them.
For The Screaming Banshees, Debra Pypers had games of 148, 158, 150 for a 456 series, Siretta Dawson had games of 134, 121, 146 for 401, Robyn Quigley had all under average games of 90, 105, 109 for 302, while Joanne Boler took out the wooden spooner of the round award bowling 33 pins under average in her games which were all under average of 81, 87, 109 for 277.
Nutters defeated Bitches 11-9
For Nutters, Chloe Jenner took out the star bowler of the round award bowling 41 pins over average where she had all games over average with a 136, 145, 104 for a 385 series, Isaac Riley had games of 160, 157, 159 for 466, Colin Riley had games of 151, 103, 102 for 356, while Jody Jenner had games of 114, 103, 134 for 351.
For Bitches, Julie Nicholls had games of 181, 153, 127 for a 461 series, Debbie Pickering had all over average games of 143, 147, 157 for 447, Ann McCudden had games of 99, 126, 103 for 328, while Ingrid Sach had all under average games of 114, 129, 121 for 364.
The Deadly Assassins 11 points defeated MACK 11-9
For The Deadly Assassins, Hal Johnston had games of 117, 149, 146 for a 412 series, Chris Purches had games of 100, 127, 123 for 350, Cara Cooper had games of 139, 89, 109 for 337, while Peter Speller had all under average games of 135, 122, 130 for 387.
For MACK, Margret Gardiner had all over average games of 112, 119, 114 for a 345 series, Robin Quintrell had games of 166, 156, 158 for 480, while Cheyne Pons had games of 101, 118, 119 for 338 and Ashleigh Miller’s absent score didn’t gain them any points.
In It to Win It 16 1/2 points d Spicks and Specks 3 1/2 points
For In It to Win It, Glenn Corbett had all over average games of 171, 168, 185 for a 524 series, Cameron Arnold had games of 176, 138, 151 for 465, Lyn Carter had all over average games of 108, 114, 121 for 343, while Adam Richardson had games of 77, 104, 111 for 292.
For Spicks and Specks, Val Dinnie had games of 110, 145, 108 for a 363 series, Trevor Boyd had games of 130, 124, 133 for 387, Neil Hawes had games of 90, 95, 121 for 306, while Les Robinson had games of 167, 178, 159 for 504.
Nohopenhells defeated The Pin Heads 16-4
For Nohopenhells, Craig Robinson had all over average games of 121, 124, 110 for a 355 series, Steve Edmonds had games of 94, 118, 112 for 324, Brett Sanson’s absent score gained them three points, while Matt Whitehurst took out the wooden spooner of the round award bowling 27 pins under average in his games of 122, 73, 100 for 295.
For The Pin Heads, Shantelle Flynn had games of 122,126, 102 for a 305 series, David Hart had games of 83, 100, 88 for 271, Terrie Walsh had all under average games of 120, 123, 127 for 370, while the vacant score didn’t gain them any points.
The Niners 12 1/2 points defeated The Thunderbirds 7 1/2 points
For The Niners, Glenn Pollard took out the star bowler of the round award bowling 72 pins over average in his games of 149, 176, 224 for a 549 series, Leiland Friend had all over average games of 217, 181, 180 for 578, Ron Timbs had games of 152, 160, 149 for 461, while Bob Doyle had games of 159, 98, 159 for 416.
For Thunderbirds, Carl Henderson had all over average games of 186, 154, 138 for a 478 series, Les Collins had games of 101, 162, 140 for 403, Sue Collins had games of 116, 146, 124 for 386, while Kathleen Morgan had games of 122, 132, 122 for 376.
The 200 plus club award games were by The Niners’ Glenn Pollard with a great game of 224, his team-mate Leiland Friend also had a wonderful game of 217.
