But the Jamberoo Superoos will be hoping they can succeed where all other have failed thus far, when they play host to the Gorillas at Kevin Walsh Oval on Saturday.
A round five flogging at the hands of Gerringong seems to have served as a wakeup call for the Superoos, who have not been beaten since.
The Roos are now sitting on fourth spot on the table, but all their wins have come against teams below them on the ladder, so this will be an opportunity for them to prove themselves against one of the top sides.
The Gorillas look like they will be without their captain Andrew Diomei, but they still have other quality forwards like Damien Paulissen, Keiran Rankmore and Aaron Henry, who the Roos will need to keep an eye on.
While the Gorillas will have them beaten for size, the Superoos still have plenty of players who can make a difference.
Their captain coach Matt Coelho and their strong halves combination of Mark Asquith and Jono Dallas will all need big games if they are going to bring the Gorillas unbeaten run to an end.
