THE semi-finals of the Bomaderry Bowling Club major singles were played last week with Ken Parker defeating Dave Longville 31-23 to progress into the final.

In the other semi, Bob King proved to be too strong for Gerry Webster with Bob winning 31-21.
The final was played last Sunday with Bob King showing his expertise defeating Ken Parker 31-12 in a game that didn’t indicate the final score. Bob’s win now takes him to 14 major singles championships at Bomaderry and a grand total of 30 club championships at Bomaderry.
In social bowls John Lowe and Ned Collier won the $25 vouchers on Tuesday. Second went to Fred Bernthaler and Garry Gilligan with Harry Griffiths and John Black taking home third place. Jim Carroll and Heinz Koblenz had an attempt at the jackpot but missed out.
Lyn Boyd, Dave Milne, Helen Stevens and Derek Chapman won the half jackpot of $200. Meat trays went to Daron Leary, Geoff Tracey, Mike Winnem and Andrew McIntosh.
Thursday saw Barry Scott and Bob O’Grady take home first place. Second went to Richard Green and Bob Brassington. Phil Kerrison and Garry Gilligan claimed the $10 vouchers. John Webb and John Mathers had an attempt at the jackpot but missed out.
Barry Boles and Bob Brassington won the $15 vouchers on Saturday with Heinz Koblenz and Tod Marsden picking up the $10 vouchers. Elaine Preston and Craig Cannell had a spin at the jackpot but missed out. Mick Edwards and JJ Martin had an attempt at the half jackpot but they too missed out.
Men’s nominated pairs are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays with any mixed nominated pairs on Saturday all commencing at 1pm.
