There were mixed results for the Shoalhaven Tigers u18 girls.
With the arrival of two new players from Queanbeyan and Albury, the girls had to quickly acquaint themselves on and off the court.
Both new players Erin Macdonald and Issy Turner settled well into the team. In the first game of the season, Wagga Wagga was too hot for the Shoalhaven girls, and missing Sarah Bolt for the Sunday’s games, meant coach Ken had to change tactic.
Shaking out the cobwebs the girls went on to have a win against Illawarra, which seemed to ignite the Tigers’ spirit.
The final game of the weekend was against Goulburn and unfortunately the Tigers could not make the comeback needed for a win.
The girls had a great time on and off the court, getting re-acquainted with the coaching staff and each other.
All were hard played games but it was the little things that let the girls down. However the next round in Illawarra on May 24 and 25 should see the Tigers girls come away with a few more wins.
