There has never been any under 52 kilogram young woman to have achieved this record in the Shoalhaven or the South Coast for judo.
Easton’s tournament record to date stands at:
International Tournaments - 12 first places, eight second places and four third places.
Youth Olympics – One first place.
Oceania - Three first places and two second places.
Australian Titles - Three first places, four second places and two third places.
Ganesa Cup - Two first places.
“Tinka is the most prolific judo competitor that has come out of Bushido Judo Club in the last 10 years. Tinka’s results have come from having a strong intestinal fortitude,” Easton’s coach, Bruce Fagan said.
“What Tinka has achieved in the last three years is truly a credit to her and the rest of her family, who have given so much support, as well as her own motivation to overcome adversity in the way of injuries.”
Easton will now compete in the Australian Titles in June at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong.
Later in July Easton will attempt to obtain her black belt in an intense examination.
If she is successful, she will be the first young woman in the Shoalhaven Heads Bushido Judo Club to achieve this honour.
