Scott departs with five wins under his belt so far this year, which include the NVC’s individual time trial championship and a classy win on Mount Baw Baw in Victoria.
On arriving in England Scott will spend two months racing in the Surrey League which is a series of races that have a long history in that area.
In July, Scott will move to Italy where he will be based in Bardolino on the edge of Lake Garda, which is situated at the base of the Dolomite Mountains.
Scott will be racing in that area in local events while living and breathing the Italian cycling culture. Following some time in Italy, Scott has a desire to do some races in Belgium to experience a different type of road racing.
Racing in Italy will provide road races through the Italian countryside with long climbs through the mountains. Belgium will provide races with cobbles, short steep climbs, wind and rain and thousands of screaming fans drinking beer and eating frits.
Scott will be back to Italy in September to meet his parents who will be holidaying there for a few weeks before he eventually heads back to Australia in October.
All of Scott’s local club mates and friends wish him well and look forward to his reports back to home as he gains memorable experiences in the northern hemisphere.
