A 49-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly grabbed a police officer during an altercation in Huskisson.
About 9.30pm on Sunday, police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended a hotel after receiving calls that intoxicated people were refusing to leave.
It’s alleged that when officers asked a patron to leave, another man intervened.
Police then asked the man to leave; however he allegedly refused and was subsequently arrested.
During the arrest, the 49-year-old man allegedly grabbed a female constable and struggled with her, causing an injury to her hand.
He was taken to Huskisson Police Station, where he was issued a court attendance notice for assault officer in execution of duty; resist officer in execution of duty; and fail to comply with direction.
He is due to appear in Nowra Local Court in May.
