St Georges Basin will come up against Bluejays at 10am and will be followed by Allsorts and Kangaroo Valley at 11.15am.
Come along and view the high scoring hockey five format, which encourages the participation of all skill levels.
The format emphasises teamwork and passing skills to create more goal scoring opportunities.
The women’s games will start at 1pm with St Georges Basin White up against the in-form Allsorts Orange.
This will be a battle of determination from both teams.
Allsorts Green will then take on Shoalhaven Heads Maroon.
The Heads women will have to match the Green’s strong midfield and high performance players like Elle Dodd and Toby Bacchus.
In the late game at 8.30pm St Georges Basin Red will match up with Shoalhaven Heads Blue.
Both teams are coming off a loss last week and are looking to redeem themselves.
This should be an evenly contested match.
The men’s competition will hit off at 4pm with Allsorts coming up against Kangaroo Valley.
Allsorts will have to tighten their defence to keep the Kangaroo Valley attacker Dave Anstiss under control.
Next will be St Georges Basin against Shoalhaven Heads.
This should be a great game to watch with both teams evenly matched.
The game will come down to who can control the midfield and convert their opportunities.
Burrawang will take on Bluejays in the final men’s game of the round.
Bluejays, which are coming off a loss, will be keen to dominate the “Burrawang Boys”.
The women’s veterans representative team will hold a sausage sizzle on Saturday.
The sizzle will start at about 10am and run all day.
Drinks and chocolates will also be available.
The women will also be running a raffle, with the first prize being a $400 Atlas Hockey Stick.
Do not forget that the association meeting has been moved to Tuesday night.
Please check the association website to confirm the time and details of the meeting.
Hookin2Hockey will start on May 1.
It is a great introduction to hockey aimed at five to nine year-olds.
