Danielle was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in January 2013.
At 23 she underwent six rounds of chemotherapy, finishing her treatment in May and returning to work.
In November, a routine scan revealed her cancer had returned.
She again started another course of chemotherapy but for someone so young her prognosis was not good.
With the support of fiance Dean Bradshaw and her family she sourced treatment overseas.
At great cost to both Dean and Dani they found a clinic in Germany that specialised in a form of treatment unavailable in Australia.
The couple is in Germany where Dani is undergoing her treatment which is not covered under Medicare.
Back home the couple’s friends have rallied and are staging a special fund-raising day this Friday to try to help with some of the growing medical costs.
While the golf day is full, members of the public are still invited to attend the auction and raffle that will follow the event with items donated by local businesses and individuals from the Nowra area.
The auction includes some prizes such as a nine-day paragliding course valued at $1900, a coffee machine, a biplane flight, a 2013 signed NSW State of Origin jersey, a signed 2014 North Queensland jersey and dolphin cruises.
Other items that will be up for grabs include a 2005 signed and framed Wallabies jumper, two nights’ accommodation at Sand Piper Holiday House at Vincentia, as well as a $400 rug, car detailing and service vouchers and a host of gift vouchers.
Close to 30 items will also be raffled.
The auction will start around 7pm and the raffle will be drawn at 8.30pm.
