Bob Watts ran the Capt’n Snooze store in Nowra for almost 30 years and was also heavily involved in the local community as president of the Nowra Chamber of Commerce for six years, the local pony club, the Worrigee Equestrian Common and later the Worrigee Golf Links.
When he retired eight years ago he moved with his wife Margaret to Tura Beach near Merimbula.
A memorial service for the man affectionately known as Capt’n Bob will be held at the Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen’s Sports Club at Worrigee next Monday, April 14.
The service will begin at 3pm in the Jack Elliott Room, with Bob’s friends and colleagues invited to attend.
