For those of you who do not know better, if you had a good run and made decent time around the deceptively hard picturesque course of Willandra, then be warned, next week you are going to pay dearly in the handicaps.
To hear the handicapper describe it, there is a clear formula in place, so do not be disheartened when you turn up at Willandra again next week.
Be sure to check the notice board to see how you have fared.
This week there were 194 runners.
Many were old diehards back to try and bluff the handicapper.
Some were new families or individuals looking for like-minded people.
The club hopes you enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and challenge that Willandra offered.
The track was in great condition considering all the wet weather over the past weeks.
Next time you see Mr Gibb, be sure to let him know that all his hard work is appreciated.
The AGM will be held on May 3.
For most people this is an event to be avoided but the AGM of Nowra Athletics Club (NAC) is not your usual boring evening.
The AGM runs for about 20 minutes and then there is a presentation of the past season.
Everyone brings a plate and a social gathering caps off the evening.
If you have questions or suggestions the club would love to hear from you at next week’s run.
See you then.
