Butfield has already made two big hundreds this season, but he had one more in him when it counted.
With his side struggling at 3/35 on Saturday afternoon, Butfield and youngster Ryan Henry put on 111 for the fourth wicket partnership.
Butfield managed to smash his way to 157, including 12 fours and 10 sixes, while Henry was the second top-scorer with 22 in their total of 250.
Barry Cumberland (3/44) was the pick of the bowlers for Ex-Servos.
Ex-Servos made a strong start to their run chase with Scott Cusack (29) and Adam Cusack (11) putting on 42 for the first wicket.
However, 0/42 soon became 3/42, with Byron Fry taking 2/0 in the final over of the day.
After losing another wicket early on day two, Ex-Servos found some resistance from their middle order, with Vincent Morris making 26, while Michael Mills finished unbeaten on 29.
But that was nowhere near enough to get them to their target and they were bowled out for 127.
Lachlan Butfield backed up his batting effort with figures of 3/13, while Dave Webb chipped in with 2/26.
He also got another chance with the bat in Nowra’s second innings, making it to 45 not out, before the game was called with the score at 2/81.
