It was a tough physical match with every Southern Branch player putting in 100 per cent.
Keepers Bethany Nielsen and Kiara Rochaix were under the pump in the first half, both making great saves at different intervals.
Southern’s defence had no rest as the opposition’s attack was fast
and furious. Maddi Goulding (Shoalhaven) supplied great balls to the forwards in attacking spaces and made a few solid tackles.
The second half saw the Southern girls fight hard to make a break, win the ball and maintain possession.
Paris Ford (Shoalhaven) had a great run and looked threatening.
Her shot on goal was deflected by the keeper.
The Koalas coach said he thought there was not much between the two teams and the Southern girls played well.
The girls came off the park at the end of the game exhausted but happy with the result.
Captain Brittany Anderson (Ulladulla) and players’ player of the match Lani Johnson (Eurobodalla).
