POLICE are investigating the attempted carjacking of a woman on Coonemia Road, between Callala Bay and Culburra Beach, on Sunday morning.

About 8am, the 45-year-old woman was heading north in her Toyota Rav4 when she saw five men standing on the side of the road.
When one of them threw an object at her car the woman stopped and spoke to them.
One of the men allegedly threatened her with a knife and demanded she get out of the car.
She refused and drove off before calling police.
Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the area, finding five men in nearby bushland.
Police spoke to them and obtained their details before allowing them to leave pending further investigations.
