A 33-year-old Sanctuary Point man has died following a head-on collision at Worrowing Heights on Saturday morning.
Police were called to The Wool Road, near Naval College Road, following reports of the accident at about 10.30am.
A silver sedan and table-top truck had collided with a man found dead inside the sedan.
The 35-year-old truck driver was not injured but was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
While police were at the scene a man allegedly punched a female officer in the face. He was subdued with capsicum spray while the officer was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
The Wool Road was closed while police investigated the accident.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing and police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
