The school community raised $118,000 to purchase a 24-seat Mitsubishi minibus.
They hadn’t had it for long before it was put to use – its first trip was to the beach with a load of students doing surfing for sport.
NAC business manager Leisa Ebdon said the school needed a bus to transport students to events, excursions and sporting activities.
“The school has been here for 13 years and we have always had to hire a bus
to attend events – that bus hire adds another expense.”
She said the fund-raising effort over the past year had been a lift for the school.
The Parents and Friends, students, the Veolia Mulwaree Trust and the Bomaderry Anglican Church were all involved in fund-raising.
“We cooked a lot of sausages over the past year.”
